Colleges celebrate International Arabic Language Day

Under the patronage of the General Supervisor of the Colleges, His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Al-Mulhim, and in the presence of Dr. Hani Al-Nawafleh, Head of the General Preparation Department, and within the framework of the annual celebration of International Arabic Language Day, the General Preparation Department, in cooperation with the Student Affairs Administration, organized a celebration last Thursday: 12/18/2014 AD in the colleges theater. Cultural on this occasion dear to our hearts

It is noteworthy that December 18th coincides with the entire world’s celebration of International Arabic Language Day, which was approved by the United Nations in its Resolution No. 3190, according to which the Arabic language was approved to be included among the official languages and working languages of the United Nations.

The colleges aim to celebrate this occasion to spread cultural awareness among students about the importance of the Arabic language and its sciences. And it is necessary Our pride and pride in the language of the Qur’an, and its superior ability to comprehend all other sciences 

The always brilliant Dr. Hassan Al-Naamna presented the ceremony, and the celebration program included fragrant verses from the Holy Qur’an, which were recited by the student Jalal Al-Akhras. Then there was a speech by Dr. Ibrahim Khafaja in which he spoke about the origins of the Arabic language, then there was a speech by Dr. Mazen Al-Zaben about the Arabized words in the Holy Qur’an, then A speech by Professor Mohamed Salah, in which he addressed the impact of the Arabic language on modern media. Then the ceremony’s programs concluded with a speech by Dr. Ismail Al-Khader, in which he addressed the Arabic language between self-respect and divine legislation.

The ceremony was attended by His Excellency the Director of the Student Affairs Department, Dr. Abdullah Al-Juhani, the Deputy Head of the General Preparation Department, Dr. Marwan Al-Fahhad, and the Supervisor of the Student Affairs Department, Muhannad Yahya, amid a remarkable presence of faculty members and students.
