Message from the Dean of Pharmacy

The pharmacy profession is one of the great professions that serves the health sector in its various fields. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques described the pharmacy profession as great when he said, “Your profession is great and your speech is like medicine.” The faculty of Pharmacy at Almaarefa University is pleased to offer a Doctor of Pharmacy program in accordance with the highest international standards and academic accreditations. In the faculty , we aim to graduate pharmacists with high professionalism and courtesy. The faculty also seeks for its graduates to have a high capacity for creativity and innovation in the pharmaceutical and research field in an effort to reach and contribute to achieving the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030. The faculty of Pharmacy is proud to have an elite group of the faculty members who teach modern scientific curricula that have been developed and are taught in modern halls and laboratories that contribute to refining and providing students with the necessary skills. On my own behalf and on behalf of the employees of the faculty of Pharmacy at Almaarefa University, I welcome you, dear visitor, to the college’s website. We are also pleased to inform you of the study plan for the Doctor of Pharmacy program, as well as the departments, objectives and mission of the college.

Faculty News

Study plan and requirements for obtaining the degree

One year (two semesters) of preparatory studies, in which science and general subjects are taught, in addition to the English language.

Four years (eight semesters) in which basic medical and pharmaceutical sciences and pharmaceutical professional practice courses are taught.

A full year (not less than 45 weeks of training, 1,800 training hours) of applied clinical training and operational pharmaceutical skills (internship) spent by the student in various departments in hospitals accredited by the university, pharmaceutical companies, private pharmacies, and regulatory health bodies.
