Integrity Club  [1]

First: Introduction

Al Maarefa University is committed to societal and academic excellence that thrives through honesty, trust and mutual respect. When faculty, students, and staff come to know, they join an academic community based on the search for knowledge.

The essence of this research lies in personal honesty, which makes it possible to exchange ideas openly and dynamically. The intellectual health of society depends on this honesty and supports itself through trust and mutual respect for each of its members. Academic integrity is at the heart of the university's commitment to academic excellence.

Al Maarefa society seeks to communicate and support clear standards of integrity so that university students and graduates can absorb these standards and move them forward in their personal and professional lives. Living with integrity prepares students to take leadership roles in their societies as well as in the profession of their choice.

Graduates can be proud of their education, and the larger community will benefit from the university's contribution to the development of moral leaders. Violation of academic integrity degrades the offender, degrades the learning process, shrinks the meaning of grades, distorts the achievements of former and current students, and discredits the university to all its members.

This policy applies to all teachers, employees, and students at Al Maarefa University who are admitted to any department or program, including conditional or probable admission. This policy provides a legal solution to the alleged violations by students. Decisions of alleged violations of academic integrity by faculty or staff are not within the jurisdiction of this policy.
