Under the patronage of His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Zaid bin Muhammad Al-Zamil, a ceremony was held in the afternoon of Tuesday 11/05/2019 AD, a ceremony honoring the College of Medicine for His Excellency Professor Dr. Mamoun bin Khalid Qarmali, former Dean of the College of Medicine, on the occasion of the end of his tenure at the university, based on his request and in appreciation Because of his unparalleled generosity in serving the journey of the College of Medicine since its inception and development, in the presence of His Excellency the University President, Professor Dr. Walid bin Hussein Abu Al-Faraj, His Excellency the Acting Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Muhammad Salah Abdul-Jabbar, and His Excellency the Dean of Admissions, Registration and Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Muhammad bin Abdullah. Al-Zamil, His Excellency the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Muhammad Al-Yamani, His Excellency the Dean of the College of Applied Sciences, Dr. Nasser Al-Jarallah, and all the faculty members in the College of Medicine.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Abdul-Jabbar gave a speech in which he thanked His Excellency’s efforts, appreciating the sincere efforts he made throughout his work in establishing the foundations and methodology of medical education. His Excellency noted that there is not enough time to mention his contributions, his great works, his fingerprints that we still feel, and what he did during the ten years of In order to develop the mission and vision of the college and advance it to the ranks of medical colleges in international universities.
Dr. Al-Yamani also kindly delivered a speech in which he thanked His Excellency Dr. Qarmali and for his good relationship and accompanying him throughout the past years of work.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Excellency the Acting Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Jabbar, presented a memorial shield to His Excellency Professor Dr. Mamoun Qarmali in honor and appreciation of him. He also presented His Excellency with a souvenir presented by all colleagues, and souvenir photos were exchanged.
