On Tuesday, April 11, 2017, His Highness Prince Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud, Governor of Diriyah Governorate and Head of the Diriyah Health City Program, opened a capacity building and skills development course for employees of the Diriyah Health City Program, at the Business Center at the Knowledge Colleges.
His Highness also signed, with His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Knowledge Colleges, Dr. Zaid bin Muhammad Al Zamil, a community partnership agreement to serve the community, which is the first community agreement for the Healthy Cities Program after its restructuring.
His Highness thanked the program employees for their efforts during the past period, calling on everyone to continue working towards community service. His Highness also thanked the knowledge colleges for implementing this course, and for the agreement that will allow the program to be developed and serve the Diriyah community.
For his part, the coordinator of the city of Diriyah, Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Awad, explained that the course lasted for two days and all members of the program participated in it, and it comes after the program completed the restructuring of the main committee and the executive committees, and registered the city of Diriyah in the Healthy Cities Network of the World Health Organization as a first stage, and work is underway. To complete the requirements of the second stage of registration, which includes achieving World Health Organization standards directly related to society, in preparation for obtaining final registration, indicating that the course targeted members of the main committee, members of the executive committees, and members of the Community Participation Committee, and introduced them to the program’s future work and activities.
