Under the patronage and honor of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Riyadh Region, may God protect him, the closing ceremony of the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity “Creativity 2020”, which was held at King Saud University in Riyadh, was held during the period from 18 to 21 Jumada al-Akhirah 1441 AH, corresponding to 12- February 15, 2020 AD, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh, and a delegation from the Ministry of Education, in which Al-Ma’rifa University participated, in cooperation with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, and with the participation of university students, to organize the voluntary organization of the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity (Mawhibah), where the university also participated by offering special prizes to the gifted. The student, Elaf Al-Jaeed, from Biomedicine and Health Sciences, won it. In this regard, the university was represented by Her Excellency Dr. Hoda Al-Murshed, Assistant Vice President for Female Student Affairs, on Friday and Saturday, February 14-15, 2020. 75 male and 76 female students from the nation’s talented students competed in the “Creativity 2020” Olympiad. With (151) projects to win Olympic prizes.
Her Excellency received the shield of honor from His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, presented by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for this generous support, on Saturday, February 15. The students were also honored and pictures were taken of them. This participation is an extension of previous years within the framework of The community partnership of Al-Maarifa University in cooperation with the King Abdul Aziz Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba” and according to the memorandum of understanding between the institution and the University’s Department of Talent and Creativity, the university takes this opportunity to congratulate its employees and students on this achievement and is proud of our volunteer students and hopes that the edifice of knowledge will always stand tall with distinguished achievements and creativity.
