On Thursday morning, 3/16/1438 AH, corresponding to 12/15/2016 AD, the Knowledge Colleges received a high-level delegation from the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, who was received by His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Zaid bin Muhammad Al-Zamil, and His Excellency the Dean of the College of Applied Sciences, Dr. Yasser. Bin Abdul Karim Al Turki, and His Excellency the Director of the Emergency Medical Services Department, Dr. Muhammad bin Ghurmallah Al Zahrani.
The delegation of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority was also headed by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Salama, General Supervisor of Ambulatory Affairs, accompanied by His Excellency Mr. Adnan Al-Turaif, Director General of the General Administration of Public Relations and Media, His Excellency Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Athel, Director General of the General Administration of Ambulatory Medical Services, and His Excellency Mr. Abdullah Al-Mutairi, Director General of the General Administration of Training.
This generous visit included an introductory overview of the colleges’ objectives and a presentation on the University of Knowledge project, in addition to an introductory presentation on the Emergency Medical Services Department and a general tour of the colleges’ facilities, which included laboratories, general laboratories, and the ambulance simulation laboratory for emergency medical services, to get to know them in terms of Equipment and specialties available.
This visit comes to enhance joint cooperation, including specialized training for members of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, the participation of college students in Hajj seasons as volunteers, strengthening relations between the two sides, and developing them in the field of emergency medical services.
