In the presence of His Excellency the General Supervisor of the Colleges, Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdul Rahman Al-Mulhim, the student meeting for the second semester of the year 2017 - 2018 AD was held yesterday, Tuesday, 3/13/2018 AD, in accordance with the academic calendar of the colleges, in the Great Diriyah Hall.
The meeting began at exactly ten o'clock in the morning with words of welcome from the President of the Student Council, student Ammar Al-Maghrabi, who welcomed His Excellency the General Supervisor of the Colleges, His Excellency the Vice Deans, the Deans of the Colleges, the members of the administrative and teaching bodies, and the students who were keen to attend this meeting.
Wishing them all the best and success in completing their academic year, and may the first paragraphs be fragrant verses from the Holy Book of God, recited by the student Nayef Salah Al-Shami.
After that, there was a speech by His Excellency the General Supervisor of the Colleges, Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdul Rahman Al-Mulhim, who in turn praised the generous attendance, stressing his happiness at the colleges’ keenness on this meeting, which provides the opportunity for students to communicate their suggestions, ideas, and observations to the deans of the various colleges.
His Excellency explained that, praise be to God, initial approval has been issued by the Ministry of Education to convert the colleges into universities, and that there is still a set of complementary approvals that will be issued, God willing, soon. His Excellency also indicated that the colleges had signed a contract to implement the institutional academic accreditation project for knowledge colleges with the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation in Riyadh.
It is an important step for colleges in their pursuit of a more distinguished approach to academic achievement.
Then His Excellency gave the students the opportunity to submit their inquiries to the deanship of the colleges and their various departments, which in turn graciously responded to all those inquiries and observations, as well as the suggestions that were presented.
Then His Excellency the General Supervisor of the Colleges announced the end of the meeting, thanking everyone present and the Departments of Student Affairs and Public Relations for organizing this meeting, while inviting everyone to eat snacks, hot drinks, and juices.
