Al-Maarifa University, through its Social Responsibility Unit, participated in World Parkinson’s Day in cooperation with the Saudi Parkinson’s Association, which was held at King Faisal Specialist Hospital on Saturday, 04/06/2019 AD. The Knowledge Pavilion hosted Dr. Majid Al-Fayad, Director of King Faisal Specialist Hospital, President of the Association, and many officials. The campaign aims to introduce the community to Parkinson’s disease, its symptoms, its impact on human health, and ways to prevent it. Weight, height, diabetes, and blood pressure were measured for visitors and health education was provided to them.
The university's participation came in fulfillment of its mission of the importance of health education, community participation, and raising the level of health services.
