Al-Maarifa University hosted the “Secrets of the Earth” scientific program as one of the most prominent initiatives aimed at spreading the culture of descriptive and experimental scientific projects among gifted students and as one of the means of conveying the culture of talent and creativity affecting society away from the prevailing and conventional atmosphere. The program contributes to introducing the community (individuals and institutions) to the importance of nurturing Talented people and investing in their abilities and talents.
This program aims to reach the gifted student and his scientific project for entrepreneurship, under the supervision of the Department of Gifted People in the Riyadh Region and with the support of the General Administration of Education in the Riyadh Region, over a period of eight weeks, two days per week, starting from 01/23/2019 AD. The program is implemented in three basic stages, the first Among them is presenting and discussing a group of unusual phenomena that occur in nature that are considered the subject of scientific controversy. The second stage presents the difference between descriptive and experimental research and projects. The third stage includes each student choosing a topic and starting his own project.
At the conclusion of the program, the Secrets of the Earth exhibition was held, implemented by Riyadh Talents, on Sunday, 03/24/2019 AD, and was sponsored by the Director of Education in the Riyadh Region, A. Hamad Nasser Al-Wahaibi, and the university emphasized the importance of supporting talented students as part of building the country with its children, who are considered an extremely important national wealth.
