Embodying the hopes of development and rehabilitation: signing a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Red Crescent Authority and the Colleges of Knowledge

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority concluded, at the Authority’s headquarters in Riyadh today, a memorandum of understanding that includes cooperation and training with the Al-Ma’rifa Colleges of Science and Technology.
Through this agreement, the two parties aim to build society and enhance integration and participation in light of the comprehensive renaissance that the Kingdom is experiencing at all levels, especially in the health and educational sectors, and to complete the message carried by both the Authority and the colleges, with the aim of laying the foundations of the strategic partnership for cooperation between the two parties in a way that serves the goals for which it works. For both parties.
The agreement was signed by His Excellency the Chairman of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Qasim, and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Knowledge Colleges, Dr. Zaid bin Muhammad Al-Zamil. This agreement aims to cooperate between the two parties in preparing training and educational programs and volunteer work to benefit from their specialized cadres, and with the participation of a number of university students. In the volunteer programs carried out by the Authority, which contribute to developing skills, in addition to contributing to the volunteer work carried out by volunteers under the Authority’s umbrella.

This agreement was attended by a number of officials from the Authority, as well as the General Supervisor of Knowledge Colleges, His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdul Rahman Al-Mulhim, His Excellency the Dean of the College of Applied Sciences, Dr. Yasser bin Abdul Karim Al-Turki, and the Head of the Emergency Medical Services Department, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad bin Ghurmallah Al-Zahrani.

This agreement also aims for the Authority to benefit from the scientific specializations available at the university, so that the Authority’s employees are enrolled in those specializations that are compatible with the Authority’s job outputs and requirements.
This memorandum includes training college employees on the necessary first aid so that they can prepare the injured person - God forbid - until the ambulance teams arrive.

His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Al-Qassim said on this occasion: This agreement comes from the Authority’s keenness to spread the culture of first aid among members of society in general, in addition to providing the necessary advice and recommendations regarding standards of prevention and first aid in its locations.

It is noteworthy that the agreement comes as an embodiment of the Authority’s first aid training work by providing a package of courses that it holds for its beneficiaries in the Kingdom, the most prominent of which are the Prince Nayef First Aid Program and the Responder Program, in addition to a first aid trainer preparation course.
