Al-Maarifa University, through the Social Responsibility Unit, participated in a health campaign entitled “Disease and Herbal Medicine” held at the Sahara Mall in Riyadh during the period 14/15 March 2019 AD. Our participating students from the College of Pharmacy in the Knowledge Pavilion were hosted by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Muhammad Yamani, as well as Dr. Sally. Issa, Assistant Dean of Pharmacy, as well as a group of visitors to the Sahara Mall. The campaign aims to introduce the community to the concept of these herbs and their impact on human health by showing them pictures and samples of each plant. Weight, height, diabetes and blood pressure were measured, and the pavilion received a large turnout from visitors. .
The university's participation came in fulfillment of its mission of the importance of health education and community participation.
