Yesterday evening, Saturday, the second Tajweed course was concluded. The second part of the Illustrated Tajweed Book, which was held in the Faculties of Knowledge, and was delivered by His Eminence Sheikh, the reciter, Dr. Ayman Rushdi Suwaid, for three days, starting last Thursday.
The recitation of the King Khalid Mosque, affiliated with the King Khalid Charitable Foundation, organized this session in the Great Diriyah Hall at the Colleges of Knowledge, and it witnessed a large turnout from reciters, memorizers of the Book of God, and those interested in the sciences of the Qur’an.
The course began with a full introduction to the sciences of the Holy Qur’an and the science of Tajweed in particular, and an examination of the origins of the Arabic letters, their characteristics, and the most prominent errors in their pronunciation.
There are many different rules of Tajweed that the attendees were trained to pronounce correctly.
His Eminence Sheikh also detailed the stages of development of writing and controlling the Holy Qur’an in an amazing manner
It is uniquely illustrated with drawings that illustrate these stages, comments on each stage, and the difference between drawing the Qur’an in the past and modern orthographic drawing.
At the conclusion of the course, His Eminence Sheikh urged memorizing the Book of God and the great goodness that it entails, and pointed to the correct methods that help in memorizing the Book of God.
He thanked the colleges for hosting this session, and in return, the colleges honored His Eminence by presenting him with a symbolic gift.
