Sports activity at the university receives special priority in an effort to achieve the quality of life of its students, employees, and community. Sports are no longer a luxury, but rather a life necessity for a healthy mind inhabiting a healthy body. As a result of this vision, the university’s students and employees achieved many sports awards in local competitions across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the most recent of which was pharmacy student Sami Al-Khaibari winning first place and the gold medal in the Kingdom’s Youth and First Class Olympic Weightlifting Championships, which was held in the period (12-13 May). 2022).
Commenting on this sporting achievement of the Al-Khaibari student, His Excellency Dr. Hoda Al-Murshed, Supervisor of Student and Alumni Affairs, said that the university pays special attention to sports activity and does not stop at supporting its students to participate in sports competitions only, but also includes in its plan to employ scientific research to conduct studies examining the relationship between practicing sports and its impact on physical and psychological health. Its results will be the university’s roadmap in improving the quality of life of its community through the social responsibility programs it implements.
