Knowledge Colleges conclude a memorandum of cooperation with the Takaful Charitable Foundation

On Monday, Ramadan 12, 1436 AH, corresponding to July 29, 2015 AD, a signing ceremony of a memorandum of cooperation was held between the “Knowledge Colleges” and the “Takaful Charitable Foundation” for male and female employees of the Ministry of Education - General Education.

The framework of this memorandum specifies cooperation in various fields that fall within the jurisdiction of both the colleges and the Takaful Foundation and their capabilities to support male and female students registered in the Takaful Charitable Foundation, as part of knowledge initiatives in achieving community service and contributing to supporting children of needy families with the knowledge, skill and technology necessary to provide a better future for them and their families. and their society, as well as to the nature and origin of Takaful’s charitable objectives. God willing, through the implementation of this agreement, there will be an exchange of experiences and cooperation in what serves this group of students, both male and female, from our dear homeland, within the colleges’ specializations, to raise the level of students in cognitive and technical sciences for the benefit of themselves and their families.

The agreement signing ceremony was held in the “Janoubiyah Sudair” Hall at the colleges’ headquarters, and the name “Knowledge Distinguishes Me” was launched, which does not aim in any way for profit, but rather to serve the Saudi community, which is considered a fulfillment of the shared social responsibility. Through this agreement, the Takaful Charitable Foundation will provide comprehensive data for students expected to graduate from public education, for the purpose of communicating with them, introducing them to college programs, and trying to attract them to continue their educational journey while ensuring the confidentiality of the information.

The signing ceremony of the memorandum of cooperation was attended by the colleges of knowledge:

  • His Excellency Dr. Zakaria Al-Zamil, “Acting General Supervisor” - Vice Dean of Colleges for Academic Affairs.
  • Dr.. Muhammad Al-Zamil, “Deputy Colleges for Admission and Registration.”
  • Dr.. Yasser Al-Turki, “Dean of the College of Applied Sciences.”
  • Raif Al-Mulhim, “Director of Public Relations and Marketing Department.”

The Takaful Charitable Foundation delegation was represented by:

  • His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Aqili, “Secretary-General”.
  • Dr.. Muhammad Al-Omran, “Director of Field Administration.”
  • Ahmed Al Rajhi, “Director of Programs and Partnerships Department.”
  • Muhammad Al-Suqair “Program Supervisor”.

It is worth noting that the Colleges of Knowledge were established in 2009 and include three colleges: the College of Medicine, the College of Pharmacy, and the College of Applied Sciences. It offers many bachelor's degree specializations, including: medicine, pharmacy, nursing, respiratory care, emergency medical services, and information systems. Knowledge colleges seek to advance their services through their future project, “Knowledge University,” which includes six colleges, a hospital with a capacity of 300 beds, a research center, a conference and business center, and a hotel, in order to provide a competitive knowledge environment that serves the region.
