Under the patronage of the Governor of Diriyah Governorate, His Highness Prince Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud, the Al-Ma’rifa Colleges of Science and Technology held today, Thursday 8/29/1438 AH, corresponding to 5/25/2017 AD, the graduation ceremony of the fourth batch for the year 1437/1438 AH, corresponding to 2016/2017 AD, in Specialties of medicine and surgery, clinical pharmacy, and applied sciences.
The colleges have harnessed all means and capabilities that would raise the level of students by concluding agreements with international and local universities, hospitals, and scientific and health centers within the Kingdom, to provide a practical environment for training their male and female students based on qualifying them to contribute to a bright future that meets all the nation’s needs with the best international standards in the health field. And achieving outstanding outcomes.
The honorable ceremony began with the playing of the Royal Anthem, and the procession of the 155 graduates this year, starting with the College of Medicine, from which 45 surgeons graduated, the College of Pharmacy, from which 30 pharmacists graduated, then the College of Applied Sciences, where the Nursing Department included 20 graduates, and the Respiratory Care Department 38. There were 12 graduates from the Emergency Medical Services Department, and from the Departments of Computer Science and Information Systems, 10 graduates. After that, fragrant verses from the Holy Quran were recited, and then the graduates gave their speech on this occasion, expressing their great happiness at graduation and their appreciation and gratitude to the colleges. After that, His Excellency the General Supervisor of the Colleges, Dr. Ibrahim, delivered a speech. Bin Abdul Rahman Al-Mulhim delivered a speech in which he appreciated the support of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God protect him. He thanked His Highness the Emir of Diriyah for His Highness’s support and constant patronage of the colleges’ journey since its inception, and His Highness’s keenness to participate in all scientific forums and events in Diriyah Governorate.
The film “The Joy of a Graduate” was also shown, which included quick meetings with a group of students, to express their feelings on this occasion, in addition to showing a short introductory film about the role of knowledge colleges in society, as they are considered a pioneering scientific edifice that is not limited to the educational process within colleges only. Rather, it is a social platform and forum that includes many social events, training courses, and various scientific lectures that serve all segments of society based on their social responsibility.
At the end of the ceremony, the graduates took the oath, then His Highness the Emir handed his students graduation certificates and took souvenir photos with them, wishing them good luck and success, and congratulating them in their knowledge and work.
