Under the patronage of His Excellency the Secretary General of the National Anti-Drug Committee, Mr. Abdul-Ilah Al-Sharif, and in the presence of His Excellency the Vice Dean of Colleges for Academic Affairs, Dr. Zakaria Al-Zamil, on behalf of His Excellency the General Superintendent, and in the presence of His Excellency the Vice Deans and Deans of Knowledge Colleges, an educational forum for drug prevention was held on Tuesday morning, 03/22/2016 AD. In the “Nebras” educational environments, organized by the National Committee for Combating Drugs in the Diriyah Grand Hall in the Knowledge Colleges.
The forum began with the opening of accompanying exhibitions in which the General Secretariat of the National Drug Control Committee, the General Directorate for Drug Control and the General Customs Authority participated. Then, His Excellency the Secretary General of the National Drug Control Committee delivered a speech in which he welcomed the attendees and noted the importance and objectives of the National Drug Control Project and the role it plays. The committee aims to spread awareness and education among educational circles regarding the fear of the spread of drugs and ways to prevent them.
His Excellency the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs also delivered a speech in which he welcomed the guests of the meeting, expressing his gratitude for this national initiative and its effective importance in educating and raising awareness of the harms of drugs and the efforts made in this national project, “Nebras.”
After that, a documentary film was shown to introduce the state’s efforts to combat drugs, thwart smuggling operations within the country, and arrest smugglers and drug dealers. This was followed by a visual presentation of the film of the National Project for Drug Prevention “Nebras,” and then the CEO of the National Project for Drug Prevention delivered a speech: “ Nebras, Dr. Nizar Al-Saleh and Advisor to the General Secretariat of the National Anti-Narcotics Committee, Dr. Tariq Al-Ahmadi, gave educational lectures on the dangers of drugs and the importance of preventing them. Then the meeting concluded by opening the way for attendees to discuss, participate, and answer questions.
