The Colleges of Knowledge, represented by the female students of the College of Pharmacy, participated in the High Blood Pressure Awareness Day, which was held at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh on Tuesday, 11/29/2016 AD, in coordination with the Public Relations Department of the Female Section.
The event included educating and raising awareness among visitors about the importance of checking blood pressure on an ongoing basis and maintaining its balance by following preventive measures, which depend on proper eating methods, and the necessity of seeing a doctor and regularly using the necessary medications for people with blood pressure disease.
The event also included the participation of the Shams Association for Blood Pressure Care, as well as several departments from the hospital, such as the Nursing Department, Nutrition Department, Health Education, and Medical Consultations.
The participation of knowledge colleges in this event, like other health events, comes to spread awareness and health education from the standpoint of social responsibility and community service in various activities that will raise the level of awareness and education.
