Under the patronage of His Excellency the Vice Dean of Colleges for Academic Affairs, Dr. Zakaria bin Abdullah Al-Zamil, on behalf of His Excellency the General Supervisor, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Mulhim, and in the presence of His Excellency the Vice Dean of Colleges for Admission, Registration, and Student Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Zamil, it took place on Wednesday 7/22/1438 AH, corresponding to 4/19/2017 AD. A parent meeting for male and female students at Al-Maarifa Colleges in the Great Diriyah Hall at the colleges’ headquarters.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Vice Deans, Deans, Heads of Academic Departments, members of the administrative and teaching bodies, and the distinguished guests of the meeting, parents of male and female students.
The meeting began with a welcome speech from student Rakan Ali, in which he welcomed the parents and professors in attendance, emphasizing the depth of the partnership that knowledge colleges are keen on with parents, and its importance in strengthening the relationship between parents and college administration.
Then the student, Talal Al-Nakheel, recited fragrant verses from the Book of God, the Wise. After that, His Excellency the Colleges’ Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Zakaria Al-Zamil, delivered his speech on behalf of His Excellency the General Supervisor, in which he welcomed the honorable attendees, stressing the colleges’ keenness to continue this blessed meeting, which comes within the academic days. Scheduled for colleges to build bridges of communication and cooperation between parents and the deans of colleges directly, to receive comments, inquiries, and suggestions with all transparency and frankness, declaring his happiness afterward in obtaining the approval of the Ministry of Education on the basic system of Al-Maarifa University.
Then His Excellency announced the opening of the floor to receive questions, inquiries and comments from parents. His Excellency alternated with His Excellency the Vice Dean of Colleges for Admissions, Registration and Student Affairs to answer those inquiries and also directed them to His Excellency the deans and deans, each according to his specialty.
Most inquiries came about training places for health college students, the possibility of adding other hospitals, the necessity of involving parents in developing the strategic plan for the colleges, the extent of the possibility of colleges offering summer courses, and the demand to focus on extracurricular activities, especially intellectual security programs.
The meeting concluded with His Excellency the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs thanking the parents for their attendance, with the hope of meeting them in future meetings.
