Yesterday, Al Maarifa Colleges of Science and Technology launched a blood donation campaign for three days to encourage the largest number of its employees to activate the spirit of giving and responsibility, with the aim of serving the community, and what it may do in saving the lives of those in need.
The campaign was launched in cooperation with the blood bank at King Khalid University Hospital, through the student council and the colleges’ student affairs administration. This campaign is considered an integral part of the colleges’ activities in assuming social responsibility, which aims to support the health and safety of Saudi society.
His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Zaid bin Muhammad Al-Zamil, took the initiative to donate blood, participating and encouraging his students and brothers in the success of this blessed campaign.
The colleges extend their thanks for the efforts provided by the administration of King Khalid University Hospital in sending the specialized medical team to the colleges’ headquarters and providing the colleges with the opportunity to educate their students about the importance of blood donation, as the campaign met with great success and interest.
