Laboratories and equipment
There are eight laboratories in the faculty of Pharmacy distributed between the women’s and men’s departments, where there are four laboratories in the women’s department, and three in the men’s department. It is a part of the educational process where students can conduct experiments on pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical chemistry, natural products, biochemistry, pharmacology, and microbiology. There is also a skills laboratory, which is shared between the two departments to practice the practical part, and develop skills such as patient guidance, and using computers to access popular information sources related to medicines. All of these laboratories are equipped with the latest safety procedures and safety requirements to ensure the safety of students when conducting various experiments. The College of Pharmacy follows the strictest protocols for periodic follow-up of all its laboratories to ensure the complete safety of all its users. It also follows the latest methods for disposing of medical waste resulting from educational and research pharmaceutical practices.

Clinical Training Description
Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE)
The final year of the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) curriculum at Almaarefa University includes a one-year Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE). The APPE program aims to enhance students' clinical and pharmaceutical skills to provide high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-specific care. It places a strong emphasis on patient safety and offers trainees various career options in the field of pharmacy. Students are prepared for the healthcare sector by utilizing pharmaceutical skills, and the program fosters leadership, planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities. Additionally, students are assessed by field supervisors based on specific criteria designed by the program's training supervisors. The internship period consists of 45 work weeks, completed during the final year of the program, and the internship year is divided into... Nine different coursesEach rotation consists of 5 weeks of training, five days per week, with eight contact hours per day, totaling 200 training hours per rotation. The internship year courses, PHCL 611, PHCL 612, PHCL 613, and PHCL 614, are delivered in Level 11, while PHCL 616, PHCL 617, PHCL 618, PHCL 619, and PHCL 620 are delivered in Level 12. Each rotation consists of 200 hours of field experience, equivalent to 3 credit hours (0+0+3). The training period includes nine pharmacy specializations: five clinical rotations, two of which are mandatory and three elective, in addition to four non-clinical rotations. 5 clinical rotations Two of them are mandatory and the rest are for the student to choose from And 4 non-clinical courses.Clinical Courses
