The ceremony of the Third Quality Forum in Higher Education was held in the conference hall of the Fairmont Hotel, Riyadh, on Thursday, 11 Safar 1411 AH, corresponding to October 10, 2019 AD.
In the presence of His Excellency the Advisor at the Royal Court, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, Dr. Ahmed bin Muhammad Al-Issa, directors and deans of Saudi public and private universities and colleges, in addition to a number of officials from quality assurance and academic accreditation bodies in the Gulf Cooperation Council and Arab countries.
The ceremony was attended by the Director of Al-Maarifa University, His Excellency Professor Dr. Walid bin Hussein Abu Al-Faraj, the Dean of the College of Applied Sciences, Dr. Nasser Ali Al-Jarallah, the Director of Quality, Professor Jamal Samida, and a number of university officials.
Certificates and commemorative shields were presented to educational institutions that obtained accreditation in its institutional and programmatic branches during the seventh and eighth sessions in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al-Issa and His Excellency Dr. Hossam Zaman. The number of entities honored in this year’s Quality Forum reached 23 educational institutions, and Al-Ma’rifa University had a share of that and obtained institutional accreditation. Conditional.
At the conclusion of the forum’s work, the Chairman of the Forum’s Communications and Media Committee, Amin bin Yahya Al-Asiri, explained that the forum comes as an extension of the forums, conferences and events whose implementation is supervised by the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, represented by the National Center for Academic Evaluation and Accreditation, in an effort to support higher education institutions, in order to achieve integration and reach more quality and effective education. Noting the necessity of investing in the great support that the education sector enjoys from the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince, and the importance of mobilizing our energies and capabilities to contribute effectively to achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which considers the quality of education and training to be one of its most important goals.
