On the evening of Tuesday, April 5, 2016, the Social Development Committee in Arqa, in cooperation with the Cooperative Energy Employment Team, organized a meeting entitled “How to Choose Your University Major” by Dr. Yasser Bakkar, founder of the Discovery Program to help students choose their university major.
The meeting was held in the Great Diriyah Hall at Al-Maarifa Colleges, the official sponsor of the event, in the presence of a large number of male and female students that exceeded expectations. They were registered to be given certificates of attendance.
The meeting opened with the recitation of fragrant verses from the Book of God, followed by an introduction to the importance of the lecture and its role in helping students at the end of secondary school to make the appropriate and correct decision to choose their university major, as this stage is a crossroads in the educational process. After that, Dr. Yasser Bakkar began the lecture, which included: Several stages, various sections, and interactive tests with students to apply scientific foundations to determine the appropriate specialization.
Then the meeting, which lasted for four and a half hours, including a break for the Maghrib prayer, was concluded by honoring the organizers and sponsors of the event and taking souvenir photos embracing all attendees.
