Information Systems Specialization

The information systems Specialization is completely different from the computer science Specializations in that it focuses on how to collect, store, and transform data into information. Usually, the owners of this Specialization or profession are responsible for creating information systems in a particular institution.

People in this profession usually provide technical support and assistance in integrating proven security solutions into complex information systems. In addition to the integration of technology into commerce, which is now called electronic commerce. This specialty is called information systems (IS) or computer information systems (CIS).

Instead of just learning how a technique works, students learn what type of technique should be used in order to solve a trading problem.

Graduation Requirements

Obtaining a Bachelor of Information Systems degree requires achieving the following:
Successfully completing at least four years of study, which is equivalent to 138 credit units. So that the student successfully completes a number of approved study units from general education courses at Almaarefa University, a number of approved study units from compulsory courses in the Faculty of Applied Sciences, and a number of approved study units from specialization courses according to the student’s specialization. Completion of the graduation project (in two stages) during the fourth year.
