Al-Maarifa University, through the Social Responsibility Unit, participated in an awareness campaign on the occasion of “World Asthma Day” at the Sahara Mall in Riyadh during the period 05/07/2019 AD until 05/08/2019 AD. The Knowledge Pavilion hosted large groups of visitors to the Sahara Mall .
The campaign aims to inform Saudi society about the most important medications used for asthma patients, the mechanism of their uses, and the difference between each medication. Weight, height, diabetes, and blood pressure were measured, and educational instructions and advice were provided with the aim of raising awareness about asthma, methods of prevention, and the necessity of taking the recommended medications.
The university's participation came in fulfillment of its mission of the importance of health education and community participation.
