On Sunday 10/29/2017 AD, the colleges hosted a delegation from the World Health Organization represented by the advisor to the Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean region, Dr. Samar Faki, with the participation of Dr. Muhammad Al-Khashoggi, the general supervisor of healthy cities programs in the Kingdom, and the supervisor of the Diriyah Healthy City Program, Mr. Fahd Al-Awwad, and in the presence of a number of Employees of government sectors in Diriyah Governorate, as part of the Diriyah Healthy City Program.
The delegation was received and participated in the constructive dialogue by His Excellency the deans and deans of the colleges, the heads of departments, and a number of male and female students. This occasion was under the direct supervision of His Excellency the Director General of the General Administration of the Colleges and a member of the Diriyah Healthy City Program Committee, Dr. Fahd. Bin Muhammad Al-Zamil.
This visit aims to review the achievement of global health standards, and to record the location of Diriyah Governorate on the map of global healthy cities.
The visit began with an inspection of Naqaa’s mobile anti-smoking clinic, and learning more about the most prominent services provided.
Then the meeting began with a speech about the most prominent achievements of the colleges in community service within the (Diriyah Healthy City) program, presented by His Excellency the Director General of Public Administration, and then a visual presentation was presented on knowledge and society, followed by a speech presented by the World Health Organization Advisor Dr. Samar Al-Fiqi about This visit and its most prominent objectives and criteria for selecting healthy cities around the world.
The meeting concluded by taking memorial photos with officials and a group of students.
This visit is part of the components of the existing partnership between the colleges and the Diriyah Healthy City Program, activating the colleges’ goals and adapting their capabilities to serve the community.
