Yesterday, Saturday, 12/10/2016 AD, the Colleges of Knowledge hosted a Qur’anic activity entitled “The Science of Tajweed between Narration and Knowledge” by His Eminence Sheikh Professor Dr. Ahmed Hassan Issa Al-Masrawi, Sheikh of all Egyptian reciters and former Chairman of the Noble Qur’an Review Committee at Al-Azhar, which was organized by the King Khalid Guidance Centre. With a large audience attendance that exceeded expectations.
The forum began with the recitation of fragrant verses from the Book of God the Wise, then the sheikh of the recitation of King Khalid Mosque delivered a welcoming speech to His Eminence the Sheikh and the honorable audience, appreciating this honorable visit and the great importance of this lecture in understanding the principles of intonation of the Holy Qur’an.
Then His Eminence the Sheikh gave a valuable lecture, in which he touched on the principles of Tajweed since the revelation of the Holy Qur’an to our Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and the study of the Holy Qur’an between him and Gabriel, peace be upon him. His Eminence also touched on the importance of Tajweed by knowing its origins and rules and applying it in the correct manner, which was reported from The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
At the end of the meeting, the floor was opened to answer questions from the audience, and then His Eminence the Sheikh received a commemorative shield from the reciter of King Khalid Mosque on this honorable occasion. The Colleges of Knowledge also facilitate hosting community activities and events, especially with regard to the Book of God Almighty and what is related to its sciences and literature.
